Sneaky Dragonling

This is my first attempt of creating a photorealistic image of an entirely fictional creature. Specifically, the sneaky dragonling was originally drawn by my brother Xander Brevoort (and it is online on his elfwood art gallery). I colored his original picture by using a frog skin texture from frog photographs, cut out to match the different muscle groups of the creature. The result was then retouched with the air brush tool.

Who would have thought that some frog from the amazon has about the same shape eyes and nostrils as the original dragonling?
